In the 1980s British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment, and the International Development Program of Australian Universities and Colleges first implemented the processes of evaluating the strudents called IELTS(International English Language Testing System from then it retained vestiges of the subject-specific ELTS subtests. The IELTS has a four-module structure (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) in two versions (academic and general training) and two-module structure (Listening and speaking) for IELTS-Life Skills. The speaking and listening sections were customary, and there was only one genre of these two sections. The reading and writing sections were meant to assess these skills in scholistic disciplines that were as close as possible to a given student’s intended course of study, and there were three available versions of these modules (science and technology, life science, and social science).
All across the globe about 2.5 million students in over 140 countries annually take tests, making it one of the world’s most popular standardized assessments. Around 1,100 test centers are being erected across the planet. These test scores are accepted by many universities for the students admission. The immigration consultants take up these tests all across the continents for the purpose of immigration and make up their life move towards a brighter future. IELTS scores are being accepted in countries like United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
